Why OKC Thunder announcer Chris Fisher is missing time from NBA broadcasts

OKC Thunder play-by-play announcer Chris Fisher will miss a few games as he and his wife prepare for the birth of their first child.

Radio play-by-play man Matt Pinto is filling in on Bally Sports Oklahoma for the team's road game against the New York Knicks on Sunday. Royce Young, OKC's basketball operations content lead, is filling in for Pinto on the radio call.

Who is OKC Thunder play-by-play announcer Chris Fisher?

Fisher is a USC alum. He spent eight seasons as the radio voice for Trojans basketball from 2010-18.

Fisher became the OKC Thunder's play-by-play announcer prior to the start of the 2018-19 season. He replaced Brian Davis.

Fisher works alongside analyst Michael Cage, a former 15-year pro who joined the broadcast team in 2014.

Who is OKC Thunder radio play-by-play announcer Matt Pinto?

Pinto has been the radio play-by-play voice of numerous other NBA teams.

He has worked for the Charlotte Hornets, the Dallas Mavericks and the Los Angeles Clippers.

Pinto became the Seattle SuperSonics' radio play-by-play announcer in 2007, and he remained with the franchise when it became the OKC Thunder in 2008.
