Why Michael Cage is missing from TV broadcast for OKC Thunder game vs. Utah Jazz
Michael Cage missed the Thunder's game against the Jazz on Thursday night, but he had a good reason not to be in Salt Lake City.
The Thunder broadcaster was in California as part of a San Diego State basketball jersey retirement ceremony Wednesday at Viejas Arena.
Cage, the back-to-back Western Athletic Conference player of the year in 1983 and 1984, was inducted into the Aztecs' Hall of Fame in 2013.
Cage left SDSU as the school's all-time leader in career points (1,846) and rebounds (1,317).
Paris Lawson joined play-by-play man Chris Fisher on the Thunder's TV broadcast crew for Thursday's game. Cage is slated to rejoin the team for Saturday's game in Minnesota.
