Who’s in, who’s out, and who has a chance to play? Here is our final breakdown of the injury report for the Week 7 matchup between the New Orleans Saints and the Denver Broncos. Players such as Derek Carr, Chris Olave, Rashid Shaheed, Taysom Hill, and others are mentioned in this week's update prior to Sean Payton's return to the Caesars Superdome.

  • Linebacker Willie Gay Jr. (hand) was a full participant after his previous hand surgery, and will be available for Thursday's game.

  • Defensive end Carl Granderson (neck) was estimated as limited on Monday when the Saints did not practice, before being moved to full practice for Tuesday and Wednesday's walkthrough, he enters Thursday without an injury designation.

  • Safety Tyrann Mathieu (forearm) was a full participant throughout the week for the Saints, and will be available for this game after his forearm contusion suffered against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

  • Wide receiver Bub Means (hand) had full practice every day leading up to this game after a minor hand injury suffered in the Buccaneers game, and will be clear to go for Thursday.

  • Wide receiver Cedrick Wilson Jr. (ankle) began the week as limited for the day of no practice, however he was upgraded to full participation the next two days similar to Carl Granderson. He will be available.

  • Special teamer J.T. Gray (calf) was limited throughout the week, however he will not have an injury designation entering the game as well.

  • Running back Alvin Kamara (hand), defensive tackle Nathan Shepherd (groin), cornerback Alontae Taylor (shoulder), and defensive end Payton Turner (knee) were all limited through the entire week, however they will all be available for Thursday.

Questionable

  • Offensive lineman Lucas Patrick (chest) returned to practice this week, being marked as a DNP Monday but then upgraded to limited for the next two days.

  • Defensive tackle Khalen Saunders (back) popped onto the Saints' injury report on Wednesday after having no designation the first two days of practice. He did not practice Wednesday and will be questionable.

  • Tight end Taysom Hill (rib) is doubtful for this matchup after practicing in a limited capacity throughout the week.

  • Quarterback Derek Carr (oblique) did not practice at any point during the week, however, he will be doubtful and not out yet according to the injury report.

  • Linebacker Pete Werner (hamstring) will miss another game, as he was unable to get to limited practice status yet and remained a DNP.

  • Wide receivers Chris Olave (concussion) and Rashid Shaheed (knee) will both be out after neither practiced this week, and Shaheed will be having surgery in the near future for a meniscus, which will determine his status for the rest of the season.

  • Guard Cesar Ruiz (knee) will also miss another game after he was unable to practice during the short week. He will get the extra break after this game which will hopefully get him back on track.

  • As of right now, the injured reserve consists of starting safety Will Harris (hamstring), depth tackle Justin Herron (knee), IOL Shane Lemieux (ankle), starting center Erik McCoy (groin), defensive tackle Camron Peterson (undisclosed), and cornerback Rejzohn Wright (turf toe).

  • The physically unable-to-perform list includes defensive end Tanoh Kpassagnon (Achilles), offensive tackle Ryan Ramczyk (knee), and linebacker Nephi Sewell (knee - ACL).
