Where to watch Columbus Crew vs New York Red Bulls. Time for MLS Cup first round Game 2

For the Crew to stay alive in the MLS playoffs, they must pick up a victory on the road against the New York Red Bulls in Game 2 of their first round series.

On Tuesday, the Crew dropped Game 1 of the best-of-three series 1-0, at Lower.com Field. Columbus is the higher seed, ranked second in the Eastern Conference. The Red Bulls are seventh.

If the Crew are able to advance, the only other time they'll have to go on the road in the postseason is for an Eastern Conference final matchup against top-ranked Inter Miami.

Columbus Crew goalkeeper Patrick Schulte (28) stops a shot from New York Red Bulls midfielder Lewis Morgan (9) during the second half of the MLS Cup Playoffs first round game at Lower.com Field in Columbus on Oct. 29.

But before the Crew can worry about home playoff games, they must win on the road today.

This regular season, the Crew improved their road record to 9-3-5 from last season's 4-8-5. The Crew have also won elimination games on the road in this year's CONCACAF Champions Cup tournament, against Houston Dynamo, Tigers and CF Monterrey.

"Winning road games has been huge," Crew goalkeeper Patrick Schulte said. "It definitely gives you more confidence knowing that you can go anywhere and win. But we also have the belief in our team that no matter if we weren’t doing well on the road, that we could go anywhere and win, especially after what happened last game. We know we have to respond."
