OXFORD — Things are looking bleak for Ole Miss basketball and Chris Beard as the calendar turns to March.
The Rebels have lost six of their past seven, missing the last remaining opportunity for a Quad 1 win on their schedule on Wednesday when they lost to Alabama.
Is there any March Madness hope remaining for the Rebels (19-9, 6-9 SEC) short of winning the SEC Tournament?

ESPN, CBS NCAA bracket predictions for Ole Miss in March Madness
The Rebels, according to ESPN expert Joe Lunardi, are firmly on the outside looking in. He projects Ole Miss as the seventh team out of the field, behind Iowa, Texas A&M, St. John's, Colorado, Utah and Villanova.
CBS bracketologist Jerry Palm has been higher on Ole Miss than Lunardi for most of the season, but the Rebels have fallen out of his field, too. Palm doesn't list them among his first four teams out.
