Here is where each Kansas football player was selected in 2024 NFL draft
LAWRENCE — Kansas football had two selections in the NFL draft this year, furthering the momentum the program has enjoyed over the last couple of years.
Here’s where those two players were picked, and which organizations they’ll be playing for:
Dominick Puni — San Francisco 49ers
The San Francisco 49ers drafted Dominick Puni in the third round with the 86th overall selection. Puni, an offensive lineman, played at Kansas at the Division I level for two seasons after transferring in from Division II-level Central Missouri. He has the versatility to play multiple positions professionally.
Austin Booker — Chicago Bears
The Chicago Bears drafted Austin Booker in the fifth round with the 144th overall selection. Booker, a defensive lineman, played at Kansas for just one season after transferring in from Minnesota. Although Booker didn’t bring much experience from his time in the Big Ten Conference, in his lone campaign in the Big 12 Conference he thrived and became a star on the Jayhawks’ defense.
