Watch Shaquem Griffin get the draft call from Seattle reuniting him with twin Shaquill
The incredible story of Shaquem Griffin is well known by now. Born with amniotic band syndrome, Griffin had his hand amputated at the age of four and has gone on to become one of the best linebackers in college football.
It was only a matter of time until an NFL team drafted him, but that’s where this story gets even better. The Seattle Seahawks selected Griffin in the 5th round on Saturday, pairing the prospect in a secondary unit with his twin brother, Shaquill.
In fact it was his brother who got to tell Griffin that the Seahawks were calling — and in a way only family members could pull off.
Shaquem Griffin said his brother, Shaquill, tackled him in the bathroom to let him know the Seahawks were calling to draft him. "I'm glad he had the bathroom unlocked."

#Seahawks Pete Carroll on position for @Shaquemgriffin : We're going play him as a weak side linebacker to start out and see what happens from there. He does have that crossover makeup because he is SO fast. We're going to put him position to run & hit. @Seahawks @12s #NFLDraft pic.twitter.com/nFagj1RTiF

Congrats to Shaquem Griffin. In a draft class full of remarkable achievements, no one comes close to what he’s accomplished. The NFL season can’t get here soon enough.
