Watch: Pete Carroll gives update on Jaxon Smith-Njigba’s wrist surgery
The Seattle Seahawks are dealing with injuries to their two top draft picks. Cornerback Devon Witherspoon has missed plenty of time, and wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba underwent wrist surgery.
Fortunately for the Seahawks, there seems to be positive news for both players. Witherspoon is expected to practice next week, and JSN’s surgery went well. When asked about it, head coach Pete Carroll was his usual optimistic self.

Seattle will need JSN’s services if they want to take their offense to the next level. He was drafted with the intent of becoming a legitimate No. 3 option behind DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett – something the Seahawks have been sorely lacking for years.
