ONE Championship fighter Idris Abdurashitov knocked out opponent Bagher Faraji with a ferocious head kick in their featherweight match on Sunday.

The problem is, Abdurashitov and Faraji were participating in a boxing match — not an MMA bout.

Faraji appeared to have the upper hand in the fight based on the brief footage available, putting Abdurashitov on the defensive with a quick jab and solid left punch to the face. The two then tangled up on the ropes, and as Faraji backed away, Abdurashitov snapped a kick off and the Iranian boxer fell to the mat. Video of the scene can be watched below.

The Russian fighter was immediately disqualified for his actions, but Abdurashitov can't be too remorseful for using a head kick in a boxing match, considering that he posted video of the incident on social media.

The 21-year-old Abdurashitov, whose nickname is "Aggressor," has a 4-0 record in MMA and made his successful ONE Championship debut in September with a second-round knockout of Kazakbai Tilenov.

His career as a boxer, however, may not be in the cards.
