WATCH: Justice Haynes' monstrous touchdown run as Alabama routs Missouri
The Alabama Crimson Tide were firing on all cylinders by the second half of their 34-0 Week 9 shutout victory over the Missouri Tigers at Bryant-Denny Stadium Saturday.
Alabama (6-2 overall, 3-2 SEC) started slow but finished the day strong, amassing 486 yards of total offense -- over 300 of which came after halftime.
With the offense rolling after Jalen Milroe's breathtaking touchdown run and Alabama having scored on four of its previous six possessions, the Tide gave Missouri (6-2, 2-2) a knockout punch early in the fourth quarter.
Justice Haynes reeled off a 35-yard touchdown run that showed why the talented sophomore was rated the No. 2 overall running back in the nation coming out of high school in the class of 2023.
With Alabama at the Missouri 35-yard line, Haynes took a handoff from center and lowered the boom on a Tigers defender before running by the rest of the Missouri defense for a touchdown run that put an exclamation point on a bounce-back victory for Kalen DeBoer and the Crimson Tide.
Earlier in the half, Haynes had a 22-yard run for a first down to the Missouri 15-yard line. That led to an 11-yard Jam Miller touchdown run that put Alabama up 27-0.
Alabama has a bye next Saturday before heading to Baton Rouge to face the LSU Tigers in Week 11.
