Watch: JJ Redick praises Steph Curry and Sabrina Ionescu’s performance
Steph Curry narrowly defeated Sabrina Ionescu in their 3-point shoot-out contest at the All-Star weekend. Ironically, Curry won by three points. However, the head-to-head ended up being one of the best moments of the entire weekend’s festivities, as two of the best shooters in the world put their skills to the test in the WNBA/NBA crossover contest.
Both Curry and Ionescu received significant praise for their performances and their competitiveness. During a recent episode of JJ Redick’s “The Old Man and the Three” podcast, the former sharpshooter shared his thoughts on the contest and why it was such a success.
Redick noted how both players came away from the event as winners and how their performances captivated fans on a global scale. He also noted how both Curry and Ionescu cared about winning the competition, which added an extra dimension.
