Watch: Ja Morant shares clips working out with Memphis Grizzlies rookie Zach Edey

Memphis Grizzlies fans finally got their first look of the duo many have been salivating to see.

Grizzlies guard Ja Morant shared a photo and video in which he is working out with rookie center Zach Edey. This is the first time clips of Morant and Edey working out together have surfaced.

The two were at Southern Methodist University's basketball facilities. Morant shared on his Instagram account Edey setting him a screen, then rolling to the basket for a lob dunk. That's a sight many Grizzlies fans expect to see going forward.

The workout with Morant and Edey was conducted by Morant's father, Tee, plus trainers Trey Draper and Jonathan Thomas.

Draper, a Memphis native, has connections to Edey dating back to their overlapped times at IMG Academy. Draper was an assistant coach while Edey played on the team.

Edey and Morant's chemistry will be pivotal for the Grizzlies success' this season. The fact they are already working out more than a month before preseason training camp should pay dividends.

Grizzlies guard Desmond Bane also said that many of the Grizzlies players are hoping to get together in late August or early September for workouts. The Grizzlies will begin preseason training camp in Nashville on Oct. 1.
