Do the Warriors have a Steve Kerr problem?

Steve Kerr has overseen a sustained period of dominance for the Golden State Warriors. The head coach has been at the helm for all four of the team’s championship runs and is a key part of Golden State’s decade-long dynasty. However, the Warriors haven’t looked like a championship-level roster in recent months, stemming back to the 2022-23 season.

According to the creator of the YouTube channel “Hoop Report,” who is known to be a long-time Warriors fan, Kerr’s time with the franchise may have run it’s course, especially if Mike Dunleavy Jr. wants to bring more banners to the Bay Area before the trio of Stephen Curry, Draymond Green, and Klay Thompson call time on their illustrious careers.

The YouTube channel pinpoints some questionable coaching decisions and a lack of development for some of the team’s younger talent as reasons why Kerr might be part of Golden State’s problems rather than part of their solutions.

Kerr’s achievements with the Warriors have undoubtedly earned him the opportunity to put things right in Golden State and get the franchise back on track. However, it’s clear not everyone is pleased with his efforts to begin the season.
