AUBURN — It's no secret what Auburn football fans want.

As the basketball team was running away with an impressive victory over USC on Sunday, coach Hugh Freeze and some recruits walked into Neville Arena and were met with a roar. Some of the recruits accompanying Freeze included five-star receivers Cam Coleman and Perry Thompson − both are committed to the Tigers ― and five-star receiver Ryan Williams.

Williams, who recently announced his reclassification to the Class of 2024, is currently committed to Alabama and has been since October 2022. That didn't stop fans from trying to persuade the Saraland High School product to flip his pledge from the Crimson Tide to Auburn, though.

Fans chanted, "We want Ryan!" at the bluechip prospect who posted four touchdowns in the Class 6A state championship earlier this month. Fans also chanted at AJ Harris, a former Georgia cornerback from Central Phenix City that entered the transfer portal Friday.

Here's what the scene looked like during the plea to Williams:

The Tigers currently have the No. 11 haul in the Class of 2024, according to the 247Sports Composite. It's a collection of talent that's headlined not only by Coleman and Thompson, but also four-star edge defender Jamonta Waller, four-star linebacker Demarcus Riddick and four-star quarterback Walker White, among others.

Williams would be the fifth receiver in the class if he flipped to Auburn, joining Coleman, Thompson and four-star prospects Malcolm Simmons and Bryce Cain. Simmons was also in attendance for the basketball game.
