Vote: Oklahoma City area girls high school athletes of week, Jan. 23

The Oklahoman's girls athletes of the week poll for Jan. 16-22 presented by Landmark Fine Homes is now live at oklahoman.com.

Voting is open until noon Sunday. You don't have to be a subscriber to vote, and you can cast one vote every hour, per device.

The winners of the Jan. 9-15 poll were Brianna Jones of Douglass basketball, Harper Brown of Bethany swimming and Claire Solansky of El Reno wrestling.

Basketball

Skylar Durley, Jr., Classen SAS: Durley received MVP honors as Classen SAS won the Jones Kiwanis Invitational. She stuffed the stat sheet with 18 points, six rebounds, six assists and three steals in a 53-37 championship victory against host Jones.

Teague Muncy, Jr., Dale: Muncy averaged 17.3 points per game as Dale had a dominant showing in the Cashion County Line Tournament. She reached 1,000 career points, shooting over 60% from 2-point range and 40% from 3 while averaging more than five rebounds per game.

Caya Smith, Sr., Putnam West: Smith averaged 12.7 points and 4.7 rebounds per game at the Jenks-Union Invitational, where she was named MVP. The undefeated Patriots snapped Edmond North’s 47-game win streak to claim the tournament title. Smith, an OU signee, totaled eight steals and seven deflections through three tournament games.

Lilly Thomas, Jr., El Reno: With Thomas as the tournament MVP, El Reno won the Shawnee Invitational to stay undefeated. She posted averages of 13.7 points, six rebounds and 2.3 blocks through three games.

Swimming 

Kaida Bradley, So., Norman: Her top performance at the Central Oklahoma Athletic Conference meet Saturday in Edmond was in the 500-yard freestyle. Bradley placed second in 5 minutes, 27.49 seconds.

Avery Littlefield, Sr., Stillwater: The LSU signee had a solid day at the COAC meet and won both of her individual events, the 50 freestyle (23.38) and 100 butterfly (55.79). She also helped Stillwater win the 200 freestyle relay (1:40.78).

Brianna Ridpath, So., Edmond Memorial: A second-place finish in the 100 breaststroke (1:09.94) highlighted her day at the COAC meet.

Gracyn Simpson, Jr., Shawnee: She won the 50 freestyle (26.95) and 100 freestyle (59.79) and helped Shawnee claim victories in the 200 medley relay (2:10.71) and 400 freestyle relay (4:21.13) at a meet Thursday at Harrah. The meet included Chickasha, Choctaw, the Greater Ada Swim Club, Harrah, Heritage Hall, Mount St. Mary, Shawnee and the OKC Storm.

Wrestling 

Eliana Banks, Jr., Shawnee: She had a strong showing at the Yukon Ladies Invitational on Saturday, winning the title at 127 pounds.

Millie Bradley, Fr., Tuttle: She won the 130-pound crown at the Perry Lady Maroons Tournament on Saturday.

Ryleigh Lefkowitz, So., Putnam City: Lefkowitz, who won the 140-pound state title last year, claimed the 157-pound crown at the Yukon Ladies Invitational on Saturday.

Mariah Robbins, Sr., Westmoore: She won the 110-pound title at the Perry Lady Maroons Tournament on Saturday, while also helping Westmoore claim the team crown.
