It's time to vote for the Detroit Free Press Prep Athlete of the Week for Oct. 27-Nov. 2.

Here are this week's nominees (listed in alphabetical order by last name):
Brady Benson, Reese High School: The senior quarterback did everything he could for the Rockets but the team came up short in a 48-12 loss to Fowler. Benson completed 10 of his 18 passing attempts, throwing for 133 yards and one passing touchdown, along with rushing for 75 yards and one touchdown on seven carries. Benson, who also plays linebacker for Reese, also recorded two tackles in the loss.
Griffin Boman, Clarkston High School: The junior running back let his presence be known on both offense and defense as the Wolves advanced to the second round of the playoffs with a 34-16 victory over the Lake Orion Dragons. Boman rushed for 190 yards and three touchdowns on 16 carries for the offense. On defense, he served as a linebacker and had nine tackles for Clarkston.
Vincent Campisi, Macomb Lutheran North: Campisi's record-setting performance led the Mustangs to a 48-30 victory against St. Clair high school in their opening playoff matchup. The senior running back rushed for 219 yards on 30 carries and set the school record for rushing touchdowns with seven for the evening.
Jamal Shakespear, West Bloomfield: The senior quarterback decided to use his legs rather than his passing? arm to lead the Lakers to 49-15 win over the Novi Wildcats. Shakespear threw for 12 yards on his only passing attempt for the night but rushed 10 times for 121 yards and had three rushing-touchdowns.
