Villanova breaks record for 3-pointers made in Final Four game 1 minute into 2nd half vs. Kansas
Villanova has made a living behind the three-point line this season.
The Wildcats led the NCAA in made three-pointers on the third-most attempts with the 19th-best rate (40 percent) this season.
Seeing no need to change things up on the big stage, the Wildcats came out firing Saturday against Kansas in their Final Four matchup in San Antonio.
With around seven minutes left in the first half, Dan Worlock, the official NCAA stats guru, tweeted this out.

Around three minutes later, Villanova guard Phil Booth put the Wildcats in the record book with the Wildcats’ 13th three-pointer of the game at the 3:45 mark.
Villanova finished the first half with a 47-32 lead, the most points scored on Kansas all season.
And it wasn’t just one guy hitting from deep. Seven different Wildcats hit three-pointers as Villanova finished the stanza 13-of-26 from distance, accounting for all but four of their field goals.
Jalen Brunson led the way, going 3-for-6 from behind the arc.
Update:
Eric Paschall hit a deep three-pointer about one minute into the second half to break the record with Villanova’s 14th three-pointer of the game. Villanova’s shooting on Saturday has also moved it into the record book for most three-pointers in an NCAA tournament.
The record for most three-pointers in an NCAA tournament was 61 by VCU in 2011. Villanova has broken that mark, currently sitting at 65 with 11:07 left in tonight's game.
