Yankees reach first World Series since 2009 after Juan Soto's 10th inning HR finishes Guardians in Game 5 of ALCS

Yankees manager Aaron Boone marvels at Juan Soto's ability to come through time after time in big situations. None bigger than Soto's three-run homer in the 10th inning of Game 5 in the ALCS to send the Yankees to their first World Series appearance in 15 years. Boone: "He's so good at seizing the moment." Soto's heroics would never have happened without another Yankees hero Giancarlo Stanton, whose two-run blast in the sixth erased a 2-0 deficit and set the stage for Soto's dramatic at-bat. Stanton will be taking home the ALCS trophy but plans to zero in on his World Series preparation once the Met-Dodgers NLCS has been decided.
