The San Diego.

Padres had arguably the best trade deadline of any team in major league baseball.

And after going big game hunting the last several seasons, AJ Preller focused solely on his bullpen this year, acquiring top relievers Tanner, Scott Jason.

Adam and Brian Hoying Preller has quietly put together one of the strongest bullpens in major league baseball.

But why is that strategy important when you're thinking of October and teams that have success in the postseason?

It's all about the bullpens rotations are usually shorter and starters aren't going as deep into games, making a strong bullpen imperative in the team getting to the World Series.

And with Adam Scott Hoying to go along with Yuki Matsui, Adrian Morone Jeremiah Estrada and electric closer Robert Suarez.

The Padres now have options to not only win late ball games but use that bullpen to their advantage in the regular season and in the postseason, should they make it?

The Padres have been one of the hottest teams in major league baseball since the all star break and with their offense finally getting things going and the rotation slowly starting to get healthy, they've become a team that has become dangerous as we go down the stretch.

And with that bullpen, the runs that they're gonna be able to score and getting enough starting pitching.

The Padres are not only a team that control their own destiny, but it could be a team that nobody wants to see in October.
