Kodai Senga, David Peterson and Jesse Winker lament a forgettable Mets loss in Game 1 of NLCS

Starter Kodai Senga sensed a pitching mechanics issue prior to starting Game 1 of the NLCS and it was all downhill from there as the Dodgers jumped out to a 3-0 lead and never looked back. David Peterson allowed four hits and two runs in his relief stint of an eventual 9-0 loss. Jesse Winker got the Mets' first hit in the fifth, then promptly got thrown out trying to go first to third on a Jose Iglesias single. Winker took full responsibility for his mistake and offered, "they had a great night tonight, we'll come back tomorrow and move forward."
