Bottom of the seventh and Otani draws a walk.

And so Otani who has not been nearly as aggressive on the basis this October as he had was in the regular season tries to spark something first pitch slider from Clay Holmes and he takes off perfect throw from Austin Wells, perfect tag from Glaber.

And initially, you're like, you know, the crowds like, ah, you know, like, man, like that, that would have been cool.

And then it's like, oh my God, he's still there.

It's like, oh, why is her Tony still by second base?

This was not something that I have really experienced in this.

We've seen injuries before, but this was a moment where everything stopped and he's on the ground.

Is it his wrist?

It is his arm we see on the replay.

He's basically bracing himself with his left arm as he slides in feet first and his arm just kind of jams into the ground a little bit harder than he would have like, as opposed to dragging it along the ground, like behind him when you normally would see on a slide like that.

And that when you see it like that it's like, ok, is it the wrist?

Is it the shoulder there is, you know, the broadcast, Ken Roosevelt reports.

It's a shoulder.

There are many people who speak Japanese who are listening on the audio, on the Japanese broadcast.

And you can hear Otani telling the trainer reportedly in Japanese, like my shoulder popped out.

So that's what happens.

But because he just hit and because there's only, you know, a couple in hes left like we're not gonna know and he's the DH we're not gonna know if he got pulled from the game.

That's a key here because he doesn't come out for defense, obviously, and he's not gonna hit again.

And so you, like, we both kind of realized this immediately and it's like, ok, the next step is we all need to go ask, go to like you good because the range of options here is like, oh, maybe he just banged it and he's gonna be fine or it's like he's done for the World Series.

Dave Roberts was like, yeah, it's a shoulder in.

It's a, it's a subluxation which is essentially some level of dislocation.

But he said the strength tests that Otani did were encouraging.

Now, does that mean they pop the shoulder back in and he's fine?

Does that mean that they are still gonna figure it out tomorrow when they do MRI, whatever?

Like, I don't know.

But the point is Dave Roberts gave us something that we can sit on but now everyone's gonna fly to New York, including us in a matter of hours.

And at some point tomorrow, the Dodgers are having a workout in the Bronx, uh, on Sunday evening.

Maybe we get more information.

Maybe we don't.
