[CROWD CHEERING]
CHARLES ROBINSON: The Chiefs beat Green Bay 13 to 7 at home in a God awful football game. And it was, I mean, like it just wasn't-- Like, the Chiefs, here's what I can say about the Chiefs, all that matters right now is you winning games.
Like, just keep winning. I don't care what they look like. I don't care--
FRANK SCHWAB: But that's crazy, Chuck.
CHARLES ROBINSON: I know.
FRANK SCHWAB: This is not who the Chiefs are.
CHARLES ROBINSON: I know. I get that. I totally understand that. But my thing is, you clearly are in the midst of trying to figure out what the problem is here, clearly. And there is a huge element of offense that you are trying to unravel here and understand.
And the only thing that matters in that period of trying to figure that out is you better keep winning football games, however you can win them. And look, Green Bay, just Jordan Love ain't it. OK.
Like it's, like I don't-- Aaron Rodgers, man, all the time banner terrible week for Aaron Rodgers. And yet at the end of the week, you're like, well, but like whatever, whatever beef maybe other people have with him, a lot of Packers fans are going to be like, it ain't Jordan Love, man. And somehow he ends up with a W. Because we watched Love, and I'm like, there's nothing there to convince me that that kid is anywhere near being able to take over this team right now.
And the one thing I will say about Kansas City, defensively, I thought I had written Frank Clark off a couple of weeks ago. OK. I was like, that dude is done. He's cashed. I don't know.
He's put together a couple of weeks in a row now where you're like, OK. He's affecting things. He's more active. He's making an impact.
Melvin Ingram comes into the fold. Chris Jones. You're like, all right. Let's see now if they can start to get things together defensively.
But you explain to me, offensively, why-- Are they-- OK. I'll just ask you this, and this sounds like an insane question, but I think it's worthy of being asked. Are they still a top tier team offensively right now?
FRANK SCHWAB: I don't think so. But this is not a team that should be evolving. This is a team that should be there already. This is basically the same offense back from last year with the supposedly better offensive line. You should be trying to figure things out.
You're Patrick Mahomes, and Tyreek Hill, and Travis Kelce, and all these receivers have been there. Like I don't get what's really why they're slumping, or why it's going to change either. Because this team should be the Kansas City Chiefs that everything is a struggle for them. Everything.
It's like you go out, and not like the Packers have this unbelievable defense. You score one touchdown on them? It is just concerning. And a big part of that is Travis Kelce is on the wrong end of the 30 whatever now, right? Like, he doesn't look like the same guy.
And so if Travis Kelce is 90% of what he was, which is unbelievable, he's a Hall of Fame player. But if he's 90%, 85% of what he was, all of a sudden, it's like, well, OK, you could kind of control him. You do have Tyreek, but what else do you have.
Darrel Williams ain't scaring anybody. I say this week after week. Like, Byron Pringle, like, no. This is not helping your offense.
I don't care how good Patrick Mahomes is. At some point, everybody needs weapons. They don't have many of them.
This offense is just really bogged down. But I think he did make a good point. We have to give some credit to the defense. We just kind of, oh, whatever, it was the Giants last week, right?
And then this week, it's like, oh, whatever, it's Jordan Love. Well, I don't care. Like, the defense looked good two weeks in a row. We couldn't say that for the first seven games of the season.
So I do tip my cap to them and say the defense is playing better. But I don't know. I still think this team is a mess. To get out of there with an ugly 13-7 win over Jordan Love in the Packers, that ain't the Chiefs I know, and it's concerning. And I don't-- I still don't think they're out of their slump.
