Alex Zverev overcoming obstacles in quest to reach the top

Two years ago Alex Zverev was on the cusp of a landmark season. A Grand Slam title looked destined to come his way and he was closing in on a World No.1 ranking. Playing against Rafael Nadal the German suffered a serious ankle injury that blew away those chances. The road ahead has been a long, uncertain one. Fast forwards to 2024 and Zverev is back to his best and eyeing a third Nitto ATP Tour crown in Turin to tee up what he hopes will be a breakthrough 2025.
