Video: Cue The Lights!

Got a smartphone? Got the Seattle Kraken mobile app? Great! Now make sure to update it for the '24-'25 hockey season! Why? Because, thanks to a new partnership between the Kraken and Cue Engagement, fans can now be part of the light show at Kraken home games at Climate Pledge Arena.

The fan-first technology can be found inside the Kraken mobile app, next to the standings and league scores. The first interactive light show debuted during the Kraken's regular season home opener on Tuesday night.

The synchronized cell phone light shows offer engaging second-screen experiences without the need for Wi-Fi or additional hardware. While using the app, fans should notice their flashlights turn on and images appearing on their screens. Fans will still be able to record and post to social media while using the Cue program. For those with light and vibration sensitivity, the program should be used with caution. The program will sync users' phones for an extended duration until they fully close the app.

The best time to activate the Cue program is before the players take to the ice, just before the singing of the national anthems. The Kraken's development team is working on other ways to utilize the app for a more interactive in-game experience. The best part about the Cue program is that it eliminates plastic wristbands, which are often used in arenas and concerts for special events.
