USC defensive end Jabari Ruffin was ejected during the first half against Alabama after he deliberately stomped on the groin of defensive back Minkah Fitzpatrick, who was on the ground.

The incident happened during a kickoff return by USC’s Adoree Jackson.

Ruffin was immediately ejected from the game and in some sort of karmic twist of fate, USC quarterback Max Browne threw a pick-six on the next play.

USC isn’t the only team that might have to deal with a possible personal foul suspension coming from its league. Earlier in the day, LSU lineman Josh Boutte had a blindside hit against Wisconsin’s D’Cota Dixon after Dixon made what ultimately was the game-winning interception in a 16-14 victory.

Boutte also was ejected from the game.
