No team has been as dominant in the Olympics as the U.S. women's national basketball team, and it is now one game from continuing its success with another gold medal.

The American women have been playing like the best team in the world in the 2024 Paris Olympics, winning their games by an average of 18.6 points. With a loaded roster that has dominated every matchup so far, Team USA is close to achieving a remarkable eighth consecutive Olympic gold medal.

The U.S. women's national team "features some of the best basketball talent our country has to offer," head coach Cheryl Reeve said. Cheryl Reeve, head coach of the WNBA's Minnesota Lynx, is the head coach of the 2024 USA women's national team. Kara Lawson (Duke), Joni Taylor (Texas A&M) and Mike Thibault (Washington Mystics general manager) are Reeve's assistant coaches. Reeve and her staff previously led the USA women to a gold medal at the 2022 FIBA Women’s World Cup.
