USA vs Australia score updates: Time, TV channel, streaming for USA Basketball Showcase

It's the United States vs. Australia in the USA Basketball Showcase exhibition ahead of the 2024 Paris Olympics at 11 a.m. CT Monday in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

Numerous former OKC Thunder players are on the rosters. Kevin Durant plays for the United States, although he'll likely miss Monday's game due to a sore calf. Meanwhile, Josh Giddey plays for Australia.

Team USA is coming off an 86-72 win against Canada on Wednesday in Las Vegas.

Team USA is 35-3 all-time in pre-Olympic exhibition games.

Australia trimmed the deficit to four points with eight seconds remaining, but Devin Booker iced the game for Team USA after that by going 4 for 4 from the free throw line.

Davis led the United States with 17 points and 14 rebounds on 6-for-12 shooting from the floor. Landale led Australia with 20 points, seven rebounds and six assists on 9-for-12 shooting from the floor.

The United States will continue its USA Basketball Showcase with an exhibition game against Serbia, led by reigning NBA MVP Nikola Jokic, at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Abu Dhabi.

End third quarter: United States 76, Australia 61

Australia trailed by a game-high 24 points at the 7:09 mark, but it made things interesting by launching a 14-2 run.

Anthony Davis helped Team USA regain control, though. The Los Angeles Lakers forward stuffed the stat sheet with eight points, six rebounds, one steal and one block in the quarter.

Halftime: United States 53, Australia 37

Australia went on a 7-0 run to trim the deficit to 39-30 at the 6:03 mark. Giddey led the charge during that stretch by recording four points and two boards.

But the United States responded with a 7-0 run of its own to enter halftime with a comfortable lead. Landale led all scorers with 13 points, while Edwards had 11 points to his name.

End first quarter: United States 32, Australia 21

Edwards got inserted into the starting lineup, and he came out shooting. The Minnesota guard erupted for 11 points on a perfect 4-for-4 shooting from the floor (3 for 3 from deep) in five minutes.

Landale led the way for Australia. The Houston center recorded seven points and four rebounds in five minutes, although he picked up two fouls.

Team USA makes changes to starting lineup

Team USA will start Steph Curry, Anthony Edwards, Jayson Tatum, LeBron James and Joel Embiid on Monday.

Edwards and Tatum are new additions to the starting lineup. They'll replace Devin Booker and Jrue Holiday, who started against Canada on Wednesday.

Australia's starters are Patty Mills, Dyson Daniels, Josh Giddey, Nick Kay and Jock Landale.

Kevin Durant will not play

Durant has been ruled out for Monday's game between the United States and Australia, per ESPN's Olgun Uluc. It marks the second straight exhibition contest missed by the Phoenix forward, who's dealing with calf soreness.
