Updating Texas rankings in college football polls before Longhorns play Oklahoma
As chaos unfolded around college football in Week 6, Texas football watched from afar, safe from the calamity experienced by some of the nation's top teams while it enjoyed an open week.
The Longhorns remained at No. 1 in the updated US LBM Coaches Poll and leapfrogged Alabama to restore their place at the top of the new AP Poll released on Sunday.

Alabama was one of four top-10 teams to fall this week. Tennessee lost at Arkansas, while Missouri got bludgeoned by Texas A&M and Michigan dropped one to Washington.
