Updating Texas rankings in college football polls entering Michigan game
Texas football's 52-0 thrashing of Colorado State helped the Longhorns gain ground in the latest round of polls, released on Tuesday.
Coach Steve Sarkisian's team moved up one spot to No. 3 in the US LBM Coaches Poll and the AP Poll. Texas got some help from Oregon, which received a scare at home from Idaho and dropped below the Longhorns as a result.
A top-10 matchup awaits Texas (1-0) on Saturday (11 a.m., FOX) in Ann Arbor. Michigan (1-0), the defending national champion, came in at No. 8 in the coaches poll after topping Fresno State, 30-10, last week.
