UNC football loses another wide receiver to transfer portal
Last offseason it was the defensive side of the football that saw a a lot of players enter the transfer portal. And now in 2023, the offensive side of the football is taking a big hit.
After Andre Greene Jr. entered the portal on Saturday, fellow wide receiver Ty Chapman has also decided to enter the portal with three years of eligibility left. Chapman made the decision early Saturday afternoon, thanking the program for the past two years.
Chapman didn’t see a lot of playing time in 2022 but this season, he caught 7 passes for 135 yards and a touchdown while getting some increased playing time down the stretch.

The former four-star recruit was still buried on the depth chart and with Nate McCollum and Kobe Paysour likely returning next season as well as the potential of having Tez Walker back, playing time might be scarce for Chapman.
UNC also has some other wide receivers on the roster looking to take a step forward as well as an incoming recruiting class.
