The UFC's historic event at Sphere in Las Vegas on Saturday produced historic results, because UFC 306 joined the short list of events to crown two new champions on the same night

In the main event, Merab Dvalishvili (18-4 MMA, 11-2 UFC) claimed the bantamweight title from Sean O'Malley (18-2 MMA, 10-2 UFC) in a one-sided unanimous decision. A similar result occurred in the co-headliner, when Valentina Shevchenko (24-4-1 MMA, 13-3-1 UFC) outworked Alexa Grasso (16-4-1 MMA, 8-4-1 UFC) to a unanimous decision in their trilogy bout to reclaim the women's flyweight belt.
