UFC 274 results: Charles Oliveira submits Justin Gaethje; Carla Esparza outpoints Rose Namajunas
Charles Oliveira made quick work of Justin Gaethje Saturday at the Footprint Center in Phoenix, Arizona, winning by submission at 3:22 of the first round.
The former lightweight champion, who was stripped of his belt after missing championship weight Friday by a half pound, becomes the division's No. 1 contender and will compete for the vacant title in his next fight.
In the co-main event, Carla Esparza did just enough versus Rose Namajunas to win via split decision and regain the strawweight title she first won eight years ago in the finale of the 20th season of "The Ultimate Fighter."
