UConn women's March Madness results: Tournament bracket, predictions and more
UConn women's basketball is going dancing after securing an automatic bid to the NCAA Division I women's tournament. Not that they really needed it.
The Huskies won the Big East tournament title with a 78-42 drubbing of Georgetown in the conference tournament final, securing themselves an automatic bid to March Madness. But even before postseason play began, the Big East's top seed was the No. 9 ranked team in the country on the USA TODAY Coaches Poll.
UConn ended its season with a 26-5 regular season record, including an undefeated (18-0) mark against Big East competition. That would have been enough to guarantee at least an at-large bid for the Huskies.
Now, having won their fourth conference tournament title in a row, UConn and head coach Geno Auriemma are dancing for a 35th straight season. Here's everything to know about the UConn Huskies women's basketball team heading into Selection Sunday's bracket reveal.

Latest bracketology and predictions
Analysts predict South Carolina will hold the No. 1 overall seed in the women's bracket after capping off their undefeated regular season with an SEC tournament title. Big Ten champions Iowa, Pac-12 champions USC and Pac-12 runners-up Stanford join them as No. 1 seeds.
ACC champions Notre Dame and runners-up N.C. State join UConn as fellow women's basketball powerhouses holding a No. 3 seed this year.
ESPN has Mississippi State as its first team out and Arizona as its last team in.
March Madness bubble teams and their status
Mississippi State is projected to be on the outside looking into the tournament after a second-round loss to Texas A&M. Despite their big win over SEC runners-up LSU in January, the Bulldogs' 4-5 record afterward to end their regular season hurt their strength of record standing.
On the inside of the bubble are the Rice Owls, who won a competitive American Athletic Conference tournament as the AAC's No. 10 seed. Rice defeated East Carolina 61-41 to secure what is likely the AAC's lone bid.
