Tyrese Haliburton playfully steals Lillard's 'Dame Time' celebration after Pacers win
LAS VEGAS – Typically, Damian Lillard is the one knocking down game-winning (or game-sealing) shots late in contests. And when he does so, he famously taps his wrist to signify it is, indeed, "Dame Time."
The tables were turned Thursday, however, by Tyrese Haliburton, who looked at his wrist after his three-pointer late in the game when his Pacers staged a 128-119 win over the Bucks in the semifinals of the inaugural In-Season Tournament.

"I think it was just in the heat of the moment, having fun," Haliburton said. "I know I kind of pounded my chest and said it was my time, whatever, but I think really looking at it, it's our time. It's our time as a group. We're playing the right way, and like I said, we're shocking the world right now. We're going to continue to do that."
Naturally, Lillard was asked about the imitation by the Oshkosh native.
"I learned as a kid, when you dish it out, you've got to be willing to take it," Lillard said. "For as many times as I've done it to people, I can't be upset when somebody else does it, you know what I mean. I think that's also a sign of respect and acknowledgment for knowing my history and knowing what I do.
"I didn't mind it. It was what it was. I've also known that, you know, when you are having your moment, it's important to be careful, to be humble in your moments because you just never know how the tables are going to turn or when they are going to turn.
"I respected it. We shook hands after the game. I wasn't moved by it left or right."
Haliburton has been a breakout star during the In-Season Tournament, and he was dazzling again with 27 points, 15 assists and seven rebounds. He entered the night with a league-leading 11.9 assists per game, and it stands to reason Lillard will be his chief competition for the starting point-guard spot for the Eastern Conference in the 2024 all-star game.
