Twitter, LeBron James jumped to roast incredibly boring Super Bowl
The first half of the Super Bowl between the New England Patriots and Los Angeles Rams on Sunday was a dud.
The Patriots mustered just a 3-0 lead heading into the locker room, the two teams combined for just 69 yards on the ground, the Rams had only 57 total offensive yards and there were eight combined punts in the opening half. The Rams were shut out in the first half for the first time in head coach Sean McVay’s tenure, too.
It was incredibly slow.
So, naturally, Twitter turned elsewhere for entertainment — and had plenty of hilarious ideas about what was more entertaining than the first half of the game.
Even LeBron James got in on the action.
Man where Shams, Woj, Haynes, McMenamin at????…. 🤷🏾♂️

Watching these teams score about as many points combined as you did in the 5 weeks you were out rehabbing. https://t.co/GyyCJlAIJE

Attending Fyre Festival was a better investment than going to this Super Bowl

The 100th NFL football commercial was more entertaining then the first half of this Super Bowl.

We're biased here … but we think the first half of our ⚽️ #SpringTraining game yesterday was more entertaining than the first half of the 🏈 #SuperBowl.

The NFL did this just to make Maroon 5 seem more entertaining.

There was more yardage gained in that @NFL commercial than the entire first half of the game 😂😂

If it’s any consolation prize, though, the halftime show wasn’t any better.
It takes something truly grim to be worse than that #SuperBowl first half. Maroon 5 are it.
