Trey Fisher, son of Jimbo, transfers from UT-Martin to FAMU
There's a familiar face in town.
Trey Fisher is returning to Tallahassee to join the Florida A&M football team.
The former Godby football quarterback has transferred from the University of Tennessee-Martin.
The son of former Florida State NCAA National Championship winning Head Coach Jimbo Fisher enrolled at FAMU in the spring 2022 semester and has two years left of eligibility.
Fisher, a rising junior also had contemplated transferring to FAMU last fall for the 2021 football season.
FAMU coach Willie Simmons cherishes the opportunity of having a member of a title-winning bloodline along with a former Big-Bend student-athlete on the roster.
"Trey is a welcome addition to an already talented quarterback room," Simmons said. "Being the son of a championship head coach, he brings a wealth of knowledge to the room.
"We're also very excited to add another player from the capital city of Tallahassee to the team."
