Here are the Tuscaloosa area top performers from the week of April 15-19 from high school, tennis, soccer, track and field, baseball and softball.

Baseball

Monday, April 15

Gordo's Landon Fike allowed four hits and two runs over two innings pitched, striking out one and walking two in an 8-7 win over Tuscaloosa Academy. From the plate, he drove in two runs and hit a single.

Gordo's Austin Baines and Aaron Baines each collected three hits in the win.

Tuscaloosa Academy's Mills Powell went 3-for-4 from the plate in an 8-7 loss to Gordo with three singles.

Friday, April 19

Bibb County's Matthew Cash went 4-for-7 from the plate with a triple and two RBIs in the Choctaws opening round playoff series sweep over T.R. Miller (9-1, 3-1).

Bibb County's Will Alston went 4-for-7 from the plate with two doubles and one RBI.

Bibb County's Macain McMillian started on the mound in game one of the series, pitching a complete game and striking out seven and allowing one earned run.

Hillcrest's Jackson Henderson went 6-for-7 from the plate with five singles, one home run and three RBIs in the Patriots' opening round playoff series sweep over Faith Academy (12-5, 5-2).

Hillcrest's Spencer Davis pitched 6⅔ innings giving up two runs on one hit with 13 strikeouts and only two walks in game two of the series,

Softball

North River Christian Academy's Alex Dorough finished the week going 2-for-5 from the plate, hitting .400 on the weekend with two singles and two runs scored.

North River Christian Academy's Emma Champion finished the week going 4-for-11 from the plate with a batting average of .364 to go with two doubles and two singles.

North River Christian Academy's Gracie Dice finished the week going 5-for-12 from the plate with a .417 average, scoring four runs with three singles, two doubles and two RBIs.

Northside's Caroline Jones finished the week hitting .562 with five doubles, one home run and 13 RBIs.

Northside's Reagan Robertson finished the week with a .400 batting average and 10 RBIs.

Northside's Baylee Appling pitched 17.0 innings with a 2.0 ERA.

Monday, April 15

Tuscaloosa County's Mary Morgan Odum allowed just three hits and zero runs and struck out three over six innings pitched in a 1-0 win over Demopolis. From the plate, she went 1-for-3.

Tuscaloosa County's Kaylee Dunn went 1-for-3 from the plate with one RBI.

Tuesday, April 16

Tuscaloosa County's Jaslene Belden went 1-for-3 from the plate with a double and an RBI in a 5-2 loss to Vestavia Hills.

Tuscaloosa County's Anna Grace Bush went 1-for-3 from the plate with a double.

Boys tennis

American Christian Academy's Davis Shelton won the Class 4A-5A, Section 2 line one singles championship.

Hillcrest's Griffin Armstrong won line one singles in the Class 6A, Section 4 Tournament, defeating Northridge's Will Thom 6-7 (3), 6-4, 12-10.

Hillcrest's Griffin Armstrong and Jon Coleman Foster won line one doubles of the Class 6A, Section 4 Tournament, defeating Northridge's Tommy Rowan and Paul Vise 6-2, 6-3.

Northridge won the Class 6A, Section 4 Tournament with a total of 56 points, with Hillcrest finishing in second with 49 points.

Northridge's Tommy Rowan won line two singles in the Class 6A, Section 4 Tournament, defeating Hillcrest's Eli Hamner 6-0, 6-1.

Tuscaloosa Academy's Jonni Kneer won the Class 1A-3A Section 2 line one singles and doubles tournament.

Tuscaloosa Academy's Holman Bearman won the Class 1A-3A Section 2 line two singles and line one doubles tournament.

Girls tennis

Demopolis's Millie Hill finished as the Class 4A-5A, Section 2 line one singles runner-up and the line one doubles runner-up in the section tournament.

Hillcrest's Kameryn Browne won line one singles in the Class 6A, Section 4 Tournament, defeating Northridge's Alice Rowley 6-3- 2-6, 10-2.

Northridge won the Class 6A, Section 4 Tournament with a total of 61 points, with Hillcrest finishing in second with 44 points.

Northridge's Carter Thomason won line two singles in the Class 6A, Section 4 Tournament, defeating Hillcrest's Zoe Fuller 6-0, 6-1.

Northridge's Alice Rowley and Carter Thomason won line one doubles in the Class 6A, Section 4 Tournament, defeating Hillcrest's Kameryn Browne and Zoe Fuller 6-0, 6-3.

Sipsey Valley's Savannah Dockery and Morgan Dockery won the Class 4A-5A, Section 2 line one doubles tournament.

Track and field

Northridge's Shawn Stephenson ran a new PR of 4:19 in the 1,600 at the Mountain Brook Invitational for a new Northridge school record.

Northridge's Preston Barnes ran a new PR of 1:57:94 in the 800 at the Mountain Brook Invitational for a new Northridge school record.

Northridge's Ella Crissey took home first place in javelin at the Mountain Brook Invitational throwing 128-0.

Boys soccer

Tuesday, April 16

Northridge's Caleb Scofield scored a hat trick in a 6-0 win over Hillcrest as the Jaguars went undefeated in area play.

Northridge's Ellis Dykes, Dominic Hart and Nolawi Menasse each scored a goal.

Northside's Khaleb Jimenez, Lynn Otero, Levi Jimenez and Eder Miranda each scored two goals in a 10-0 win over Sipsey Valley.

Northside's Andy Otero and Luke Mason each scored one goal.

Northside's Andy Otero and Levi Jimenez each contributed two assists.

Thursday, April 18

Tuscaloosa Academy defeated Autaugaville 10-0 to claim the regular season Class 1A-3A, Area 4 title.

Girls soccer

Tuesday, April 16

American Christian Academy's Kimber Price, Addison Golden and Kaylee Shaw each scored a goal in a 3-2 win over Holy Spirit.

American Christian Academy's Kimber Price and Mariah Odum each had one assist.

American Christian Academy's Savannah Adderholt record four saves in goal.

Northridge's Kenley Myers scored four goals and had an assist in a 10-0 win over Hillcrest to close out area play undefeated.

Northridge's Ella Johnson scored two goals and added an assist.

Northridge's Miller Pearce and Madeline Herwig each scored a goal, with Pearce also adding an assist.

Northridge's Carson James added three assists and scored two goals.

Thursday, April 18

Tuscaloosa Academy won the regular season Class 1A-3A, Area 4 title.
