CBS NFL analyst Tony Romo is drawing rave reviews for his prescience.

The former Dallas Cowboys quarterback, who will call the Super Bowl in two weeks alongside Jim Nantz, was regularly and correctly calling plays before they happened in Sunday’s AFC championship game. He did so with an infectious energy and joy that has made him a fan-favorite among broadcasters.

Romo is not new to this. The second-year color commentator quickly made a name for himself in the booth by correctly analyzing plays at the line and often predicting what would come next.

But doing so on such a big stage on Sunday has upped his profile as he heads into the first Super Bowl of his career.

Bryce Harper enlists Romo’s help

His performance caught the attention of MLB star Bryce Harper, whose lingering free agency alongside Manny Machado’s remains the biggest offseason story in baseball.

Everybody wants to know where Harper will go.

So Harper enlisted the help of Romo via Twitter.

Romo was happy to lend his expertise.

Probably got this one wrong

We’re going out on a limb here to put this one in the loss column for Romo. In playing to his base of Cowboys fans, Romo predicted a Rangers team nowhere near the constant swirl of rumors involving Harper.

But you can’t blame him for trying.
