Tony Pollard, former Dallas Cowboys running back, signing with Tennessee Titans
The Tennessee Titans are signing former Dallas Cowboys running back Tony Pollard in free agency, the team announced Thursday.
The Titans add Pollard after he played five years with the Cowboys. A Tennessee native, Pollard amassed more than 1,000 yards rushing each of the past two seasons and was franchise tagged by the Cowboys in 2023.
Aaron Wilson was first to report the news, which has also been reported by NFL Network. ESPN is reporting the contract is for three years and worth $24 million.
This move makes it less likely that the Titans will bring back veteran running back Derrick Henry, who becomes a free agent as well this week.

The Titans came into the free agency window with roughly $80 million available in salary cap space, the second-most in the NFL. Running back Derrick Henry, defensive lineman Denico Autry, linebacker Azeez Al-Shaair, cornerback Sean Murphy-Bunting and quarterback Ryan Tannehill all hit free agency this week, a major reason why the Titans have this surplus in cash.
Some of the Titans' biggest needs in free agency this year include adding starters on the offensive line and at cornerback, linebacker and receiver as well as depth pieces at quarterback, running back and safety.
