2024 World Series start time: Date, time and TV info for Yankees-Dodgers

The 2024 World Series between the Los Angeles Dodgers and New York Yankees kicks off Friday night. One of these teams is just four wins away from a championship.

The Dodgers may have won the title in 2020, but due to the circumstances surrounding the COVID-shortened season, many fans in L.A. are hoping this title will wash away any hint of an asterisk. Plus, they didn't even get to properly celebrate that title. The Yankees, meanwhile, haven't won a title since 2009. They haven't even won the pennant since then — practically a lifetime for a franchise with 27 championships.
