Thunder's Andre Roberson stretchered off court after scary fall (Video)
Oklahoma City Thunder guard Andre Roberson appeared to suffer a serious injury Saturday against Detroit.
In the third quarter, Roberson ran toward the basket from the right corner and tried to leap for an alley-oop pass from teammate Russell Westbrook, but fell awkwardly. Roberson’s left leg appeared to buckle underneath him as he jumped for the ball. He then landed hard on his back.

The Thunder led the Pistons 91-66 at the time of Roberson’s injury, which occurred at the 4:33 mark of the third quarter. According to ESPN, Roberson remained on the court being attended to by medical staff for several minutes. Roberson’s left leg was placed in an air cast and he was escorted off the floor on a stretcher.

Earlier this month, Roberson missed eight straight games with left knee tendinitis. The initial prognosis on Saturday’s injury isn’t good, and it’s to the same knee.

Roberson averages just 5.0 points and 4.7 rebounds per game, but has started every game he has played this season for the Thunder. Roberson is known as one of the team’s top defensive players.
Oklahoma City won Saturday’s game 121-108 to improve to 29-20 overall and extend its winning streak to seven games.
