Thunder vs Hornets recap: Josh Giddey, shorthanded OKC beat Charlotte
The OKC Thunder concludes its five-game road trip with a battle against the Charlotte Hornets at 5 p.m. Sunday.
OKC is looking to snap a season-long losing streak of three games, but it’ll be without Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (quad). Jalen Williams (ankle) is also listed as questionable.
This is the second and final meeting of the season between OKC (52-25) and Charlotte (19-58). The Thunder earned a 126-106 home win over the Hornets on Feb. 2.

Charlotte trailed by as much as 14 points in the third quarter, but it refused to go away.
The Hornets closed the quarter on a 9-0 run, and Miles Bridges capped off the scoring spree with a mid-range jumper that cut the deficit to one point.

OKC extended its lead thanks in part to a scoring boost by Lindy Waters III.
Despite averaging just 2.9 points per game this season, the former Norman North and OSU standout scored seven points in 10 minutes during the second quarter alone.

Josh Giddey attacked the rim in the first quarter.
The third-year guard racked up nine points on 4-for-7 shooting, all from inside the arc. Giddey also snagged six rebounds, and his strong start helped OKC take a 31-29 lead into the second quarter.
