Thunder vs 76ers injury report: Will Jalen Williams, Joel Embiid play in tonight's game?
The OKC Thunder and Philadelphia 76ers will be missing some star power for Tuesday night's national TV game (6:30 p.m. CT, TNT).
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (quad) and Jalen Williams (ankle) have been ruled out for the Thunder, while Joel Embiid (knee) is expected to make his return for the 76ers. The star center hasn't played since Jan. 30.
Of the Thunder's five regular starters, only Chet Holmgren has played in all 74 games this season. Josh Giddey has started 73 games, followed by Lu Dort (72), Gilgeous-Alexander (71) and Williams (67).
"Every day I get to wake up and go play is a win for me," said Holmgren, who missed the entire 2022-23 season with a foot injury. "I didn’t want to be ignorant to my health and everything. If there’s a situation where it’s in the best interest of my health going forward to not play basketball that day, obviously I’ll listen to the medical team and my body. But I have the opportunity to play, I’ma always pick that."
This is the second and final meeting of the season between OKC (52-22) and Philadelphia (40-35). The Thunder suffered a 127-123 home loss to the 76ers on Nov. 25.
