One of the positions that continues to garner questions for Texas A&M ahead of the 2024 season is the wide receiver rotation after the departure of do-it-all veteran Ainias Smith. Former 5-star WR Evan Stewart transferred to Oregon this offseason.

While replacing both players' talent and production seems extremely difficult to manage, the return of Noah Thomas, Moose Muhammad, and Jahdae Walker at least solidifies the starting rotation on paper, as all three have looked faster and more efficient in route running this fall. However, who will fill out the rest of the depth chart?

Last week, during Mike Elko's first fall practice press conference, the first-year head coach mentioned that former Iowa wide receiver Jacob Bostick, along with freshman Ashton Bethel-Roman and Izaiah Williams, have "flashed" this summer, with a chance to impress the coaching staff further this month.

Bostick did not see the field during his only season with the Hawkeyes. Still, coming out of high school, the Illinois native was compared to former Texas A&M standout wide receiver Josh Reynolds due to his impressive length and ball-tracking skills and knack for making tough catches in coverage.

Both freshmen are highly intriguing players due to their speed and agility. Izaiah Williams is a proven deep threat who recorded 904 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns during his senior season in Tampa, Florida. Bethel-Roman is one of the best route runners out of the 2024 class, with equally impressive downfield speed.

Compared to previous offseasons under former head coach Jimbo Fisher, this could be the season when several new faces, including all three wide receivers mentioned, see the field. This would provide starting quarterback Conner Weigman plenty to work with in the passing game from a matchup perspective.
