College football's traditional national signing day on the first Wednesday in February figures to be anticlimactic for the Texas Tech football program. The Red Raiders put their recruiting class to bed during the early period in December, when they signed 20 high-school prospects and a junior-college offensive lineman.

They aren't expected to add to it on Wednesday, at least not with any additional scholarship players. Tech received a commitment Sunday from Schertz Clemens punter Kaden Turner, but he is expected to join the team as a preferred walk-on.

No remaining prospects are committed to Texas Tech. However, the work Joey McGuire's staff did in December hasn't gone unnoticed. Tech's class is ranked No. 24 in the 247Sports composite index, and Tech's ranking isn't likely to move much after Wednesday. It would be the highest-ranked class the Red Raiders have signed in more than a decade.
