Texas Tech basketball team thanks students camping out ahead of visit from Texas

Texas Tech University students started setting up camp outside of United Supermarkets Arena late last week in preparation for the Texas Tech basketball team's final home game against Texas on Tuesday.

By Monday afternoon, about 50 tents had been set up outside the arena with students looking to get the best seats possible for the Longhorns' visit. The entirety of the basketball team, from head coach Grant McCasland to each player and administrative staffer, thanked the loyal students by handing out food during lunch time.

Texas Tech (19-8, 8-6) and Texas (17-10, 6-8) will tip off at 8 p.m. in a game that will air on ESPN.
