Texas Tech baseball's Mason Molina, Kyle Robinson earn Team USA camp invites

A pair of Texas Tech baseball players have been invited to the 2023 USA Baseball Collegiate National Team Training Camp.

Sophomore pitchers Mason Molina and Kyle Robinson were announced as invitees by USA Baseball on Wednesday. The training camp will feature 56 non-draft eligible college players for a series of four intrasquad "Stars vs. Stripes" games. Those contests will take place June 25-28 in Cary, North Carolina.

A final 26-man Collegiate National Team roster will be named after Training Camp. Those players will represent the United States June 30-July 12 in a friendship series against Chinese Taipai and Japan.

Molina was recently named to the Gainesville Regional All-Tournament team. Robinson earned Big 12 All-Tournament team honors. The pair allowed just five earned runs across 22 total innings pitched in postseason play.

Josh Jung, now playing for the Texas Rangers, was the last Red Raider to make the official Collegiate National Team roster. Jung accomplished that feat in 2018.
