Texas Tech baseball 2024 schedule includes series with Stanford, Arkansas

The Texas Tech baseball team will spend plenty of time in the home of the World Series champion Texas Rangers to begin the 2024 season.

The full schedule, released Thursday, shows Tech playing each of its first five games at Globe Life Field, the first three of which are part of the Shriners Children's College Classic. The Red Raiders will play Tennessee (Feb. 16), Nebraska (Feb. 17) and Oregon (Feb. 18). They'll stick around Arlington a few more days to face Texas-Arlington on Feb. 20 and Oregon State on Feb. 21.

A three-game series against Texas Southern Feb. 23-25 will be the Red Raiders' home debut. Tech will also open Big 12 play at home when Texas comes to Lubbock on March 8-10.

Non-conference series against national powers Stanford and Arkansas are scattered throughout the schedule as well. Texas Tech will host the Cardinal for a two-game series April 1 and 2. A visit to Fayetteville sees the Red Raiders taking on the Razorbacks, who feature two former Tech players, April 16 and 17.

Mason Molina, Tech's No. 1 pitcher in 2023, and catcher Hudson White each transferred to Arkansas this offseason.

Home series against Big 12 opponents include Texas, BYU (March 21-23), Houston (April 5-7), West Virginia (19-21) and Oklahoma (May 3-5). Road series include Baylor (March 15-17), UCF (March 28-30), TCU (April 12-14), Kansas (April 26-28) and Oklahoma State (May 10-12).

Tech will close the regular season with six-straight road games. The Big 12 Championship will once again be held at Globe Life Field May 21-25.
