Texas A&M's offense under new offensive coordinator Collin Klein will differ from what we witnessed over the past six seasons under Jimbo Fisher, as the former head coach's complicated pro-style scheme failed to yield results outside of the 2020 season.

On its face, Klein's run-heavy QB-centric game plan looks to take advantage of matchups in the passing game and create unique running angles on the ground; Klein's blue-collar playing style during his productive career at Kansas State clearly translates to how he'll call plays in 2024.

Looking to take advantage of the tremendous athletes on the roster, sophomore running back Rueben Owens, outside of starting quarterback Conner Weigman, is a player to watch as soon as the Aggies take the field vs. Notre Dame on August 31.

By far the most versatile back on the roster, Owens compliments the hard-running style of Le'Veon Moss and Amari Daniels, possessing wide receiver-like hands and the upfield burst to make the most out of a short swing pass or angle route. I'm not the only one high on Owen's potential, as NCAAF Nation recently listed the back as a potential breakout candidate:

"Owens rushed for 385 yards 3 Touchdowns last season as a Freshman but only averaged 3.8 yards per carry. He has the talent and I know he should be able to average 5-6 ypc in 2024. Remember the Name, I'm expecting a good season."

In 13 games during his 2023 season, Owens recorded 385 rushing yards, three touchdowns, and 109 yards on the ground.
