Texans QB, Ohio State star C.J. Stroud named PFWA's NFL Rookie of the Year

Former Ohio State quarterback C.J. Stroud was named both the Rookie of the Year and the Offensive Rookie of the Year by the Professional Football Writers of America on Tuesday.

The first-year Houston QB became the third player in NFL history (following Joe Montana and Tom Brady) to lead the league in both passing yards per game (273.5) and touchdown-to-interception ratio (23-5) this season. He also helped the Texans (10-7) to win the AFC South and their NFL Wild-card matchup vs. Indianapolis, just one season removed from a 3-13-1 season.

The PFWA also tabbed edge-rusher Will Anderson, Stroud's teammate and the No. 3 pick of the draft, as the NFL's Defensive Rookie of the Year.
